If you have information about FAA hiring or training misconduct, controller safety concerns, retaliation against whistleblowers, or related documents, this page explains how to reach us. Choose the track that fits your situation. If you are an FAA employee, contractor, or anyone with professional exposure, use Track 1.
■ Secure Anonymous Submission
This tip line uses Hushline, an open-source whistleblower platform operated by Science & Design, Inc. Tips are end-to-end encrypted with PGP before they are stored — Hushline's servers cannot read your message. For maximum anonymity, access via Tor Browser using the .onion address below, which hides your IP address entirely. This is the correct option for FAA employees, contractors, or anyone whose identity must be protected.
Tor address (most anonymous — use Tor Browser):
hyewn4dvbedq7ooe3oxrhpceljd7ncfyeyts2c7nwsjp34i46smbzwid.onion/to/fixfaa
Clearnet address (accessible in any browser, less anonymous):
https://tips.hushline.app/to/fixfaa
How to submit via Tor (recommended):
- Download Tor Browser from the official site: torproject.org/download. Do this from a personal device, not a work computer.
- Open Tor Browser and wait for it to connect to the Tor network. This takes about 30 seconds.
- Paste the .onion address above into the Tor Browser address bar and press Enter. The Hushline submission page will load.
- Type your tip and submit. You will receive a receipt code — write it down. You can return to the same address to check for a reply from the journalist.
- Close Tor Browser when finished. Your visit leaves no record on your device.
⚠ Operational Security — Please Read Before Submitting
- Never submit from a work computer or work network. FAA network traffic may be monitored. Use a personal device on a personal network, or a public Wi-Fi location you do not regularly visit.
- Documents carry hidden metadata. Microsoft Word files, PDFs, and images embed author names, edit history, and sometimes GPS coordinates. Before sending any document, consider whether that metadata could identify you. When in doubt, describe the document's contents in text rather than attaching the file itself.
- Do not discuss your submission with colleagues, family, or on social media — before or after.
- Do not use your real name or work email address anywhere in your submission, including in the message body.
- If you need a response, the Hushline platform lets you check for replies anonymously using your receipt code — no email address required.
